I was wondering what that meant after I opened the letter in the mail. It's near my P.E/Equivalent 07/08 Mus1Band: W. I go to a Texas HS. I was in marching band, transferring out of gym beginning of last year. Now that I got my newest academic record, I dont have .5 credit for P.E from marching. Do you know what this mean? I need 1.5 credit for P.E to graduate, and I dont have a single one. I'm going on junior!! Is it worth doing marching this year again?

P.S. For the people who live in TX, is 12.5 credits enough to be a junior when school starts again? Just wanted to know.

  1. W often means withdrew.  Did you stop taking a class during the semester?

  2. I would have your mom or dad ask if there is an error.  You withdrew from PE (hence the W), but you were in marching band (which may or may not count as PE.)  If it counts as PE then they failed to credit you, most likely inadvertently, and they will fix their error if asked to do so courteously.  If it doesn't count as PE, then you need to take something that does count as PE.
