I have a Westell Modem for Verizon DSL and my computer is not receiving the signal. Anyway to fix that?

I installed my DSL software, I entered the WEP key, the computer added the Modem to the list of available wireless networks and I tried to connect and it will not let me. My computer keeps trying to connect to other networks b/c the Verizon wont give me anything! HELP!

So this modem sends out a wireless signal? Just cause you got a modem, if it is not a modem that also acts as a wireless router then you need a wireless router. Or else there is no signal going out wirelessly to connect to.
