Where do I run the wire into in my house for grounding the A/V system? What a about the 3-prolong plug that I plug into my standard wall AC outlet? Doesn't it already have ground?

  1. This is mainly for antenna purposes.  You may not even need it, assuming your plug-in is grounded.

  2. Yes the power cord already has a ground if it is a 3-prong plug. The ground post in the back is usually a Phono connection for a turntable.

  3. Yes, it already has a ground if it is the 3 prolong plug.  If it didn't have that, then you would just take a extra piece of wire, or even speaker wire and run that to anything in the house that is grounded out, such as a little s***w that holds the receptacle cover onto the wall, or a metal part of a entertainmant system... anything of that nature.

  4. I will assume that the receiver has a "phono" input".  The ground is for a turntable.  A phono input requires a separate ground wire connected between the receiver and the turntable.
