I have a Zh fairlane and want to install a sound system but I need to know the alternators amp output?

Pretty certain it would be a 55Amp alternator. I have a P6 LTD which would be the same. 55 Amps is not much if you are looking at making a lot of noise (and with a boot as big as that, you really, really should :P)

One option is to check out Ebay. I often see 100 Amp alternators on there which would bolt straight in where your standard one is. If you are really enthusiastic, you could have a chat with your local auto sparky, try to find an alternator with the highest output and the smallest physical size. Or you could always run two. It all depends on how big you want to go. . .
