Question:

I have a a.c. unit that leaked. carpet n my kids rooms got wet. i have no funds to fix this. who can help me?

i cannt afford to get the carpet upliftied and get tile laid down. who can assist me with a grant that that can help me get my home back in order. theres alot wrk need be done. non of theses damages was from a storm. just a.c unit lwak. my income is not enough money to fix everything. help!! thanks!!

  1. do you have homeowners insurance it will cover it.


  2. U can clean the drain on the AC so it flows out. Pull carpet back and let it dry.

  3. Is this a rental apartment or house? If it is, does the a.c. and carpet belong to the landlord (it was there when you moved in)? If it does, they should fix the carpet and the a.c. for you. Contact them. If it's YOUR a.c. and carpet, you'll have to do something yourself.  Do you have rental or homeowners' insurance (if you don't, you should -- it's only about $15 per month).

    It's not hard to rip carpet up, and you can probably get inexpensive tile at any home improvement store.  There are no grants if it's not a catastrophe like a flood or tornado.
