I have a ? about manic panic hair dye.?

Okay so I bought the Ultra Violet semi permanent hair dye cream.

It said on the back of the bottle that before you can apply it you have to shampoo it with a ph shampoo, do I have to and if so what kind of shampoo could I use?

For shampoo I usually use Suave tropical coconut.

if you pre-lighten your hair it won't matter. Dark hair does not take the color as well.

Most any shampoo will work though.

When I dyed my hair using Manic Panic i just bleached it first and then put the dye on it when it was wet. But I guess if your not bleaching you should use a Ph balance shampoo. Idk.
