I have a aim question?

my laptop is having some problems so i cant use it. i want to download aim in my dads desktop but he doesn't like things to pop up in his computer. when i used my laptop, aim used to automatically open and sign me in. i want to know what should i do to stop that? it would be best if someone gives me a step by step instructions.thank you

go to edit then settings. go to sign in/out then uncheck the square that says start AIM when windows starts

open up aim

click f7

sign in/ sign out

go to aim.com from there on the front page click on install now there you go

I would switch to pidgin it doesnt pop up AIM today or start at start up
