  1. well i can tell you if you wait till he gets bigger, that's just going to make things worse. If he's biting you now, he may not stop as he grows. It doesn't hurt when you get bit by colubrids typically, expecailly when they're small. it will draw a little blood but you'll barely feel it. Now if you're trying to pick it up while you're feeding it then don't b/c no wonder it's trying to bite. IF you're trying to hold it after you feed it, wait atleast 3 days to let it digest it's food. What I usually do if i have a rowdy snake, i will take a object like tongs and gently push their head down while i pick up they're body. Now if they're a snake that even after I pick them up, they'll still bite me, I'll just wear gloves. YOu need to start handling your corn snake b/c the more time pases, the harder it will be to ever tame the snake

  2. How long have you had him? If you just got him be sure to leave him undisturbed in his new enclosure, only open it to change the water, for at least 3 days.

Baby corn snake bites don't hurt at all and won't draw blood.

It's not unusual for baby snakes to strike at you. Most of the time it is only a warning, the snake will just hit you it won't bite you. The longer it takes you to pick up the snake, the more frightened it becomes. Try to open the cage and pick it up very quickly. Don't let your hand hover around the snake. Once you have it in your hand, it should calm down and slither through your fingers.

  3. You need to handle him often. Get him used to it. Otherwise when he gets bigger he will be the same way. It's still small enough I don't think it'll hurt when he bites. I just bought my nephew one a couple months ago and he was the same way, but he handles him often and he's starting to calm down.

  4. Corn snakes will try to bite if they are either hungry or scared.  Wear soft gardening gloves to handle him until he becomes less fearful and you do too.  I swear they can tell if you are nervous too!  Make sure also that you are feeding him an appropriate size meal once a week.  Also, don't feed him in his cage, take him out and feed him in a small container.  That way he is not associating your fingers in the cage with food and he does not accidently ingest any of his bedding.
