  1. Use rubber washers at both sides.  You can use plumber's washers, and then rubber caulk the bottom.

After it's done and dry, pour water inside the boat and look to see if there are little bubbles.  If you get bubbles, it's a leak.

Odds are, the fish finder kit has everything you need though.

  2. best bet is to get marine plywood and glue it to boat and drill hole for transducer in the plywood.

    1.first cut yourself 4" x 4 marine plywood.

    2. sand area on the boat and clean it.

    3. get some 3M 5200 and glue plywood to boat.

    4. drill hole in the plywood for transducer.

    5. mount it and go fishing.

  3. No dont drill holes your man tkept think it was gave you the exact answer

  4. drill another hole next to it to let the water back out

  5. Seal the holes with sealer made for that purpose, See your boat dealer for this.

  6. When mounting it do not put it in the center line of the hull or it could make the propeller have cavitation> Mount off to the side> Us starboard or any form of it> 5200 quick set only as aluminium has issue with holding sand well first then mount drill hole install tranducer>mount where no 1 can step on it>

  7. Don't drill the holes!!!!  I have done this trick to many aluminum boats. When you are at K mart or Wally world get the thickest hard plastic meat cutting board you can find. Cut out a square big enough to mount your transducer on and  get a tube of silicon rubber sealant and fasten that to the boat. Put it on the back and all the way around the square of plastic. Let it set for a day , then drill your holes in the plastic and not your hull. I have a 1980 boat that I did that to when I bought it new and it is still on there. Works great. Make sure you use short enough screws so you do not go through the plastic. Drill tiny pilot holes to start your screws in the plastic also.

  8. It depends on how, where, etc.  Follot the directions from the fish finder.  There is probably a gasket or something that will seal the boat, and it will tell you how to seal it.

  9. You can use some kind of rubber sealant to fill the holes after installation is complete.
