i have a amplifier for speakers but when i turn it on it says POWERING OFF....whats wrong ? bought it a long time ago like 3 years ago but out of no where dis thing says this...it turns on for like 3 secs then it says dat idk whats wrong....i bought it in radio shak...da brand is either rca or rcr idk what da last letter is...i need help i wanna make it work...

  1. your Amp is not strong enough to send the required current to the speakers, so it turns itself off, instead of over loading and blowing up .


  2. maybe you cant read. MAYBE-- the two ff's are a N. haha

  3. Check the speaker wires. You probably have a short (small strand of copper connecting between the 2 speaker outputs.)

  4. 1. remove all connection at the back of the amplifier (especially the speakers terminals) except the power plug

    2. power it on

    3. if you see the same message, send your amp to hospital ^^

    4. if the message disappeared, then power it off, connect all speakers terminal

    5. power it on again

    6. if you see the message again, then likely your speakers has a short / already damaged

    7. if no message, hook-up the input and see what happen.

    Doing this will help you to identify the root cause.
