I have a antivirus 2008 virus threat? How can i remove it using macafee internet security?

Mcafee wont work for removing it. Download MalwareBytes AntiMalware & scan your pc to remove it. The Download & instructions link is below.

-Antivirus xp 2008 is a rogue antivirus program, that displays false information stating that you are infected, when your not infected, while not allowing you to remove anything unless you first purchase the software. It's from the makers of Power Antivirus 2009. It also displays fake alerts on your computer which is just another tactic to scare you into purchasing the program.

Macafee like most other programmes cannot remove it.

You know its a rogue so just follow the instructions

Your infected by a spyware known as "XP Antivirus Protection, XP Antivirus 2008, XP Antivirus 2009" etc,you need to remove it manually by deleting its registry entires and dll files from your system ,below is link to a guide that has instruction about it .

After doing this download a trail verison of spyware "malwarebytes" and it remove the entires which you were not able to delete it.

Download and install SmitfraudFix

After you download and install restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Double-click on the SmitfraudFix.exe icon then follow the screen instructions. Option #2 should be selected in this case.
