I have a archos 605 wifi and when i play a song the hard drive stutters and when i reocrd tv it messes up?

how can i fix the hard drive and please do not say system check or error check i need a program please help

I'm assuming because you mentioned your wireless card, you are playing the songs and recording the t.v. from the internet?

This is going to take some troubleshooting:

1. to eliminate the wireless issue being a possible problem you need to try playing music off of a cd...if it still skips, it has nothing to do with your wireless internet

2. if the music skips off of the cd, then it sounds like there may be an issue with your hard drive, or RAM, or it could be a driver issue with your sound card, in order to eliminate the easiest first (the sound card driver), if you're using windows xp, head to windows update website, and check for updates.

3. how full is your hard drive? if it's nearing capacity (less than 15% empty), then you need to move some data over to an external storage...dvd's, jump drive, external HD, etc.
