I have a arrest warrant i don't know how it got there, will it ever drop?

alright i recently got tipped that i have a warrant out for my arrest. the warrant is for distrabution with intent to distribute. i dont really know what happend, but my theory is some one narked me when they got busted with a bag. I dont really know what to do.. will this ever drop? or do i have to go turn myself in to get it over with... im tempted just to wait it out but the situation stresses me, i dont know what evidance they really have on me.... i dont think the cops are looking for me too hard. yet where i live is different then on my license info.. i did hear that they went into my old place of work but i havent worked there for like a year... some one please help i need advice!!! :D thanks

  1. just give urself up, theyre going to ask everyone u know and everyone around u and theyre going to serch ur house and everything u own


  2. There is a statute of limitations... which varies from state to state, depending on the crime.  So yes, this will eventually disappear, probably either 3 or 7 years after the offense was committed.  There is no advantage to turning yourself in now.

    You do need a lawyer.  Get one now.

  3. No, the warrant will never just drop. There will always be a warrant for you until you are brought in to answer to the charge. You sold or just gave drugs to an undercover agent. You might have sold or gave drugs to a confidential informant but most likely it was an undercover agent. You might as well turn yourself in and get it over with.  

  4. It'll never drop, just turn yourself in because it will be there until you get arrested.

  5. That warrant won't drop till you turn yourself in or pay a fine, if the warranty is fine-able.  I've had warrants before and they never just go away.  I'm a pot smoker, but with this case, I'd turn myself in or arrange to talk to the detective on the case.
