Question:

I have a austrlain shepherd and he has strong teeth and I want to know how to make a really strong toy?

i don't want a toy made out of socks of rubber but a ball and i have some cloth i am making him toys but i need it to be so strong that anything i have but in it won't come of and won't hurt his teeth and he is only 1year and a half

  1. Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to make a toy strong enough to withstand being shredded. I know you said you didn't want a rubber toy, but you should seriously check out the KONG line of toys. They are specifically made for strong chewers.  


  2. I have fostered aussies for about 10 years now, and if you can come up with a toy that they cannot shred, you should patent it and market it!  

    The best toys I have found for them ARE made of rubber.  Some will chew on rubber, some will not.  

    Rawhide bones last about 10 minutes here.  If you want to save yourself a lot of trouble, honestly I would go find some sticks in the backyard.  These seem to be their favorites.

  3. Use denim fabric and double stitch all the edges and double up the fabric before you stuff it.  

  4. a cute trick i know is to soak a clean mid-sized towel in either chicken or beef broth and freeze it. then when it is completely frozen he can chew it and it tastes good and cheap!
