  1. I would like to sincerely disagree with the person above me, and also ask for you to please not to put him in a cage with anyone else. If he's under 3 months old then great, they do have fun with another. But these little guys are very -used- to living alone, and they are thus very territorial. If you introduce them after 3 mo. of age (after they're bigger than a golf ball), you will have serious injuries or deaths.

They love fresh fruits and vegetables sometimes, but keep the portions small and limit it to one a week. Make sure to feed them rich, green vegetables as too much or too-watery veggies can give them diarrhea which can be lethal. Also never, ever give them anything with sugar, as these guys contract diabetes very easily.

  2. here is a major tip never get another dwarf hamster and put it in the same cage no matter what the people at the pet store tell you they will fight to the death trust me i have been through it

  3. ok, first, ignore melie. dwarf hamsters get along just fine, as long as they are introduced at a young age and gradually. actually, they prefer to have company.

as far as how to feed bread and milk, just soak the bread in the milk and put a little piece in his/her food dish.

    good luck. hammies are fun!
