I was supposed to feed to bird today because my dad wasn't here. He already prepared the food and I was supposed to warm it up and feed it to the bird. After I fed it, I found out there was mashed potatoes inside the food. Should let it come out the "natural" way or make it throw up? (and how if the later)

  1. i dunno what mashed potatos would do to a bird they are supos2 eat fruits and veggies so i wouldnt be too worried. I had a bird who ate everythign i did so dont be too worried let the birdy p**p it out lol.

  2. Besides the butter and salts probably in mashed potatoes, it should be fine. Potatoes are actually good for lovies (although I'm not sure about the babies).

I'm putting a link in the sources, in case you're wondering anything else.

The bird should be ok, just leave him alone. Call an avian vet if you see any changes in its disposition.

  3. Although a baby bird really should not eat mashed potatos, as long as he ate it and is fine, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

  4. birs don't vomit they only regurgitate for their young or mate.  let someone that knows how fed the bird, you can kill a bird by improper feeding
