I have a bad cough, chest congestion, and a fever. help me out please?

About 3 days ago i started getting a little cough and it was really annoying. the 2nd day i had HORRIBLE chest congestion, and i kept hacking up a bunch of c**p. A few hours later, i started burning up and now i have a horrible fever. I'm taking robitussin cough and chest congestion. its helping a little bit. I cant take this chest congestion and im about to freak out. I did not go to the doctor yet, should i? And what do you guys think i have? plz help me out.

take two asprins and call me in the morning. Sounds like a nast viral infection and there isn't much you can do about viral infections except let it run it's course. To help with the chest congestion, stand in a very hot steamy shower (you don't have to be under the water) but steam will help loosen up the crud in your chest and sinsus and make it easier to breate. If you are better tomorrow, call your dr., you may need something else

Well absolutely you go to a Dr. !!!!  You might have bronchitis which will not go away on it's own.  and it is contagious.  Get goin'!!!!

If you have a fever, it could be more than "just a cold."  You should go to the doctor.  If you can't wait for an appointment (since you're running a fever), you should go to the E.R.  I hope you get better.
