I have a beef chuck bnls roast how long should I smoke it to make it moist & tender?

  1. all day long....at least 5 hours.


  2. When I smoke a roast or brisket,  I smoke it for about 2 or 3 hours.  This is enough time to get a smoke ring and flavor.  Then wrap it in foil with some BBQ sauce or some other sauce and cook it in the oven, or grill,  at about 275 until it is done.  It always comes out tender.

  3. Most of the BBQ cook-offs I've seen on Food Network have the briskets and ribs smoking at least 12 hours; sometimes closer to 16 hours - to get that perfect smoke ring around the inside of them.  You might check the Food Network website for some of the BBQ cook-off shows

  4. just dont put to much on it
