I have a belkin dual band router for my two latops that have wireless n mini cards....?

the router was set up with a 2.4 ghz connection and a 5ghz connection. commo sense would say go with the 5, but thee 2.4 one always has more bars? why is that? should i just keep connecting to the 5?

  1. Use 2.4 GHz because you have better signal.  You won't be able to utilize the 5 GHz unless everything on your network is also on 5 GHz (your mini cards are probably not 5 GHz).
