I have a belly button infection can i still go swimming in the sea ?

my belly button is infected and i am goin away next week, am i stil able to go swimming in sea water and in the swimming pool ?

  1. if i had an infection i wouldnt go in the sea or pool as it could get even worse in there as you could get other things in it, and it might not be very nice for the other people especially i the pool, if your on the beach dont get sand in it or anything either.

    i think you should rele go and see a doctor and get something for it and then you might be okay. :)

Avoid swimming pools if you have an infection, the water is usually teeming with dangerous bacteria.  Sea water should be ok so long as you don't have a really open wound, if there is any fluid coming from the infection i'd avoid water altogether, if it's reasonably dry then i think you'd be safe with seawater.

  3. Yes the salt in the water will actually help heal it.  The salt will dry it up.

  6. When I went snorkeling the guy there said "If you have any band-aids on, remove them" . . . "the sea water will kill any infection you have in the cut"

    So - it's probably good for your infection - it might help heal it.
