Question:

I have a bent rim question!?

So I took my car into the shop for an alignment and balancing and they told me that my front two rims were bent. (I had a blowout a few weeks back and my actual rim was to the concrete) So now I am trying to get new rims on my car but it is so expensive. Is it safe to drive for the next two weeks on these bent rims until I get a bigger paycheck or should I get it taken care of ASAP? I would only be driving to and from work which is about a 40 min commute back and forth on the interstate.

  1. I know you a pinching pennies, but those tires you have on the car are not going to last very long if it is out of alignment and balance.

  2. switch the front rimasand tires to the rear put the tires not bent from back on front will handle better for you till fixed also try local junk yads for some rims tires should be ok just have them transford of the bent rims if there in ok shape save yourself some cash you can also look on www.craigslist.com/you state look under classifeds for your state go to auto parts and see if anyone has tires there for your car you may get a great deal there good luck and stop hitting curbs and pot holes

  3. hows it drive???? if ok...drive under 55 until u get new

  4. Yes it will be o.k. for sure, it may wobble or drive weird but it wont hurt it.

  5. Most damaged rims will be ok unless they are well bent. Don't corner to fast and then replace asap. Some scrap yards may have spares.
