  1. Just leave him alone. He will die when he is suppose to. Doesn't sound like he will last much longer.

  2. I had to do this to my 8 yr old Oscar..they said it was blaot but it was a tumor..

I bought some 'euthenasia' from 'Drsfostersmith' on line and had it fed ex. The medicine is clove.

Go to a heath store and get a small bottlle of clove and mix in some of his water he is in..Like a cup of water and a tabelspoon of clove. Cover the glass with a towel and leave for 20 minutes..it will put him in to a coma..if he is stiill alive and put the towel back over the glass and add another tablespoon. If by any chance he is still alive ..wrap in a towel and put in the freezer for 1 hr. He will go to sleep. I know it sounds brutal ..but its like people lost in the snow they get cold and fall asleep and no pain.

I do not belive Petco or Petsmart have 'euthenasia' in a bottle.. I have an extra bottlle I can ship it out Monday..but it maybe to late.

Email me if you want me to mail it to ya..free.

THe freezer is painless and quick.

  3. clove oil

  4. Many will recommend against it, but putting the fish in mouth wash will kill it. Do not add mouth wash to his bowl, put the fish in a cup of mouth wash.

Edit: If you choose to take purfectpeek's choice, a good way to keep your fish from waking up is adding vodka after you have introduced the clove oil.

  5. I recommend that the best way to euthanize a fish is to put him a little bag of water (from the fish tank) and put some baking soda in the bag with him. Leave the bag open to the air for 5 minutes, then close it up and put the fish in the freezer. This is better than just putting the fish in the freezer with just water, or just leaving him to suffer. Good luck. It's always horrible when your fish gets sick and there is nothing you can do.

  6. ok let him live if you let him be he may live much longer

  7. I've heard either baking powder or baking soda works. But don't quote me on that I'm not certain.
