  1. I have a betta and I was told by the associate at the pet store that a male betta will kill the female... I'm not sure how accurate she was but just a thought. Also I put two smaller fish in the tank with him and I can't seem to find one of them.

  2. can you put two betta fish in the same fish tank

  3. Male bettas shouldn't be kept with:
    - other male bettas
    - other fish with fancy/flashy fins and tails
    - or tail-nippers.

Female bettas can be housed with most other species - including those listed above. Their fins and tails aren't long or showy and they're typically not as aggressive as males.

  4. Sure go for it... but your goldfish might end up dead! If you want to do that put a male and female together. Unless you don't want a extra friend. Best Wishes!!!

  5. I had a male betta in a 2.5 gallon tank with a albino catfish and a sucker fish, they got along great for more than 3 years

  6. My betta is very happy in a 10 gal. tank with 6 cardinal tetras and 3 small algae eaters!
