I have a big bump on my knee, any ideas On what It could Be ?

I have like a bump on my left knee .. well it's not a bump.

Its my bone that pops out.

I had it for a couple moths now.

I thought it would go away but It hasnt.

I got it from playing soccer & when I ever I run

or something it causes pain. Im only 12.

  1. You should have your parents take you to the doctor. This sounds like what happened with my daughter - it is called Osgood Schlatter disease and happens with young people who are still growing. Kids who play soccer and basketball are more likely to have this happen.

    If it is Osgood Schlatter you have actually fractured some bone fragments off the tibia and that is what is causing the bump - you probably will always have it. You can get it to heal with rest, but you will continue to have pain and the bump for quite a while (until you finish growing).

    An x-ray of the knee will show if it is Osgood Schlatter.

    Good luck with it - my daughter was not happy missing the last 3 games of soccer and I had to keep her out of soccer camp this summer.

    maybe it's calcium depostit....they can hurt....

    i would have it checked out if i were you.....
