Please this is really important! I lost my camcorder's charger.

I have an idea though. I NEED it for a report I am doing and I have pretty much no money to go buy a new battery and stuff. Okay so here's my idea. The size of the AC plug that's supposed to plug into my camcorder to charge it is the same size as my old camera's USB plug that enables you to upload pics and what not by plugging one end into the camera and the USB end into the computer. Anyways, my point is that my camcorder has the same AC end as the other camera. So if I were to plug the USB end of the chord into a large energy source (like a computer or something), would it charge it like the regular charger would?

  1. it might (I doubt it)  but if it did, it probably would take 10 times longer to charge it.  You don't get much of a charge from a USB port (most USB items are pretty small)  to charge a battery it would take a day or more to get that charged.

That is assuming it works and

    1. Doesn't overload your computer

    2. does't hurt the cmcorder!

    but what you to loose?

  2. You'd better not. Different chargers work for different devices, even though all the input current is the save, but the output current and power are different. It may destroy your camcorder to use a unknown camcorder charger.

I suggest you to buy a new charger from local store or a online store, it is cheap.

  3. Nope it wont work on a comp unless the battery is ALREADY charged. Your screwed brah
