  1. The pecking might be because she is hurt. If the chicken who is pecking and the chicken being pecked used to be seperated and then got put together that may also be the reason.

  2. You got too small of area for them.

  3. My Grandma had a similar problem with her chickens. Unfortunately a solution was never reached as the bully chicken got eaten by a fox...

I'm not sure there's much you can do bar separate them, I'm afraid.

  4. i have kept chickens in the past for several years the only thing you can do is keep them together for a few more days and hope the situation improves as they are trying to show who is the boss.  It normall stops after a week. If it gets worse or really harms your other chickens it is best to get rid of it.

  5. Micheal D has the best answer so far BUT you  can smear some coal tar on the area where the other chicken has pecked this one and it will stop immediately because of the color of the tar and this helps the healing.

  6. you chickens could just be bored, so try introducing different things to there pen, football? big clods of grass and soil? some branches off trees?

or sometime it could be down to lack of food, so always make sure they have plenty of food all day long.

    Hope it works!

  7. maybe she needs a rooster

  8. Aaah xx poor chicken xx maybe she has some one wrong with her xx or just gets a bit crabby when she gets old

Yeah she could need a man! x*x
