  1. The bird most likely has a nest nearby and considers the cat a threat and will defend it.

  2. probably defending her nest , trying to keep cat away from her chicks, Can't blame the bird.

  3. there used 2 B a bird in my yard that attacked my cat by dive-bombing & screeching @ her. someone told me it was a mocking bird. It did it because my neighbors cat previously caught & killed it's mate (I saw it happen)

  4. Keep your cat inside.  http://www.hsus.org/pets/pet_care/our_pe...

Man it's like people on here don't even care about their pets.

  5. It could be a catbird.  I cannot remember the actual name of them.  If this bird comes out of nowhere and divebombs the cat, that's what it is.  My dad has them in his hedges at his house and they go not only after the cat, anything/one anywhere near it's nest.

  6. It has a nest close by birds will try to defend their birds by swooping down on even people if they get to close to the nest, they also have been know to act injured to lure of animals humans to save their babies from harm.
