I have a black queen malm bed from ikea...?

its black and a queen and a malm.. im 14, and to me it looks pretty adultishyy,.. are there any ways i can maybe make it look better.. or maybe if i paint it? or do anything arounnd it to look better?

and i really dont like how big it is.. but i cant get another one so any suggestions?

your a gril right? think happyhouse linen its so cute and young but not kidish if you know what i mean. bright coloured fur pillows, funky bright side lamps, i wouldnt paint it you'll regret when your older when i was about 16 everyone was getting bed adult beds and i hated my girly single bed you'll love it by then thats probs why your rents bought it for u so they dont have to replace it in a few years.

just make you bed linen and pillows the focal point of your room not the bed

Black is pretty severe for a teen bed.  So!  Use sheets, pillow shams, a comforter,  anything bright and colourful that will lighten it up to your satisfaction.  Painting is an option.  Quite a bit of work if it's got a lot of detail to it.  Sounds like an awesome bed, tho, just get in there and make it your 'own'!  Have some fun personalizing it.
