I have a black rabbit. On her back she has patches of a greyish colour and I'm not sure what it is. Please don't say she's moulting I've checked, she's not. Please try and tell me what it is and how to treat it.

  1. If these grey patches are flaky and fur is missing then in could be a mite.

The only way to get rid of the mite is to take her to the vet for an injection under the skin

If you are saying the fur is actually grey this could be her undercoat where she has moulted.

Make sure she has a rabbit multi vitamin suppliment in her water like vitasol to give her the vitamins she needs to stop excessive moulting. groom her daily with a double sided moulting comb to get rid of excess moult and prevent furballs.

  2. it's spots, not all rabbits are one solid color. spots also develop over time, my rabbit is about 5 months old and he has at least half a dozen new spots since i got him.

  3. hard to say with out a picture really....

  4. it could be spots or it could  be where new fur is growing through. good luck=]
