I've had it for a little over a week and it hurts when I smile and chew food. Any way to make it go away soon without any awful tasting creams?

  1. mix a teaspoon of salt into a cup of warm water. Wash with the salt water for about a minute before spitting the salt-water back out.

  2. It's likely that what you have us an abscess, caused by an infection.

Call you dentist to have it checked it.  He will likely put you on antibiotics to shrink the abscess and then treat what it is that

is causing it, possibly a deep cavity.

    Good Luck!
