  1. nope

  2. Your TV will act like a bottleneck for any HD device. It will only allow 640 x 480 pixels: about 250,000. HD can output up to 1080 x 1920 pixels: about 2,000,000.

  3. Hey buddy to answer you question more easily....No..... why do people have to give so much uneeded info unless you asked for it ...Ya Know

  4. Only if you're smoking something.  Even though your old VCR could play color video, hooking it up to a B&W TV wasn't going to display it in color.

  5. your television needs to have HD in it and you need to connect it with the right wires.

  6. Sometimes it amazes me how clueless some people can be.

This person bought a bd player to connect to a sd tv. What a waste of at least $500.00.

Then he/she cannot tell if the pic is hd.

Must have been sold by a commisioned salesman

  7. no.

  8. no, the resolution is still only going to be 480i.  Other parts of the picture may be solid, however.  The picture may still look better than that of a standard DVD, but it's definitely not going to be HD quality.
