  1. Sounds like cheap (er, inexpensive) jug wine to me.  Spanish Burgundy?  Since Burgundy is in France, labeling a wine Spanish or California or any other kind of Burgundy really doesn't mean anything.  It's a gimmick.

And no date means generic "plonk".  Drink it now.  It's not going to get any better.

  2. I believe this is going to be a tough question that hopefully somebody with personal experience will answer for you.

    I found this:

""This was a wonderful place to stay. A beautiful house in a fantastic location, full of character and charm and just the right blend of old and new. Collette and Glen made us feel very welcome and were always very accomodating and helpful. Vejer is a great base for exploring the Costa de la Luz. We enjoyed days out to Cadiz and Tarifa and just pottering amongst the town of Vejer itself. We ate two excellent meals at restaurants which were recomended by Collette. At the Trafalger Restaurant in Vejer we ate what was without doubt the best meal of our entire trip, the roast suckling pig was a real highlight. We also had lunch at Casa Francisco at El Palmar on the coast. The fish was fresh the views of the Atlantic amazing."

"Some advice: Although December is not an ideal time to go swimming it is a very

good time to go for a walk along El Palmar beach and finish it off in one of the beach

restaurants, such as Casa Francisco o el Pájaro Verde with a typical local dish of fish

    or other seafood. Bon appetit."
