I have a bowl that hangs on the wall for fish/flowers. The fish died and now I want to try flowers.

Question

What kind of flowers can I put in there and just submerge the roots in the water? No soil. I know it works with spider plants and things like that but I wanted to do some sort of flower...

I have a glass vase, I put pretty rocks in the bottom filled with water, dug up a hosta from the yard rinsed the roots really good, and added a beta (fish) It's really cute.

so a hosta would work.
