the antenna has a 100 mile omni directional range. i have the antenna pointing toward the towers of the major tv stations, there is really no interference from trees or other houses. this is suppose to be the best antenna radio shack has in stock. it is a 100.00 antenna

  1. Reception at 100 miles can be very difficult. There's not much signal left. If you are in a terrain depression relative to the towers, you probably don't have a prayer.

Most of the converter boxes have a signal strength meter built in. You should use this (with an assistant) while pointing the antenna for best reception. I've found that reception can be VERY angle-sensitive at long range.
