I have a broken macbook laptop the whole screen came off how much will it cost to get a new screen ?

Ya call AppleCare if you have had it for under a year. If not then go to an Apple Store near you and they can check it out. You may want to call 1-800-275-2273 for Applecare and if you bought an extended warranty then you will have an total warranty period of 3 years.

PC laptops are more expensive than a desktop PC to fix.  I can only imagine the premium Apple will charge to fix a macbook.

What you need to ask yourself is how old is this laptop? If it's 2 years old, I'd say buy a new one. If it's only months old, warranty it. h**l if it's 2 years old and still under warranty then fix it.
