I have a brother LS-1217 problem?

I'm having a bobbin thread problem. It keeps slipping from the preferred position:

Does anyone know how to stop this? I can't use my machine this way.

Looks like it's slipping out of the slot.  Perhaps a little more bend in the 'Lip" might keep it from popping out.
