Please someone help, my brother has been with Judge Rotenberg Center because he is autistic and mute for awhile now and I have never been to happy with the school but I recently read somethings that really made me want to relocate him. I live in Pennsylvania and would really be interested if anyone knows a school closer that would be able to help him and he will be close to home so we can visit him alot more often.

  1. I have no clue where in PA you are located.  I am an advocate and support coordinator for two NE counties in PA.  I do have a few resources for you.

    - there is MELMARK school in Berwyn, PA (google them)

-VANGUARD School, Paoli, PA (google them)

    -PYRAMID HEALTH CARE 1-888-694-9996

    - www.autsimspeaks.org/community forums  (maybe someone there has more info for you

These are a start for you.  I am not familiar with JRC and do not know where it is located.  Just do your research thoroughly before you move him to someplace new.  Make sure there are theraputic services available to him as well as educational services.  Good luck!

  2. ANYWHERE is better than JRC. Get him out of there asap. Find a group home or just bring him home for awhile. JRC is like h**l on earth.
