I have a brown comforter and light wood trim

Question

i have a brown comforter and light wood trim and i want to paint myroom light teal. and also get darker furniture but im not sure if it will all match with the trim. and i also want to get brwon curtains. do you guys think it will match?

you could go with lighter furniture so that the room doesn't become too dark. I would try to find print curtains with a light background and with brown and teal and maybe a 3rd color pattern in it. Good Luck

All the wood tones in a room don't have to match.  Get what YOU like and don't stress over matching everything...

i agree with arizona, they use different kinds of wood together in those decorating shows all the time.  do what you like.

Woods do not have to match unless you are going with very light and mixing it with darker stains.  As far as your brown fabrics, brown is a neutral so any color goes with them.  And you never match fabrics to wood trims.  Wood trims have nothing to do with your fabric or color choices uless you wish to do very light wood trims and keep the rooms very contemporary by doing the same throughout.  Otherwise dark or medium wood stains have nothing to do with your color choices.  They are merely accents.
