Make it faster? Truthfully?   Get rid of it and buy a vehicle with a V8 if you want power.  When you bought it you apparently made the decision to go for mileage not performance.  There is nothing short of finding a Buick GN as a donor car and transfering the engine and transmission (if you want fast) and that would be fairly expensive.

You can do things for better mileage.  Better flowing air filter (K&N), high flow cat, larger exhaust pipes and better flowing muffler as well as a set of headers.  But, all of these will not be cheap and will not make a noticable difference in performance (as in faster).

what year regal, what engine/trans combo, whats been done already over the years, how fast do yo want to go, do want acceleration or speed, how much can you afford to spend towards your goals and more specifics on your goals

buy a k an n  air filter-will get better air intake and give you better fuel milage
