I have a built in microphone, how can I turn it off?

  1. I think you do not need to turn it off. You just double click the sound icon near the clock and then select mute in the microphone tab. Thats more than enought. And whenever you need it mae the mute off again.

  2. Go into volume control and you should have the option to mute the microphone.

  3. It is very easy. Go to start>run. Type sndvol32.exe then check the mute check box.. Hope this helped. ^_^

  4. I'm guessing this is windows (and hoping it's windows XP).

    1. go into the bottom-right corner of the screen and double-click the volume icon.

    2. The full volume control panel should pop-up.

    3. On the far-right should be a volume bar for microphone. Check the mute box.

    Oh, if ur using vista, sorry can't help you and Vista's a rubbish OS

  5. if you are using vista then go into start/control panel/hardware and sound/manage audio devices.  Then click on the recording tab and locate your mic in the list of devices.  Right click on that device and select disable.  If you have xp then the method is relatively the same.
