I was shot last thursday and so far I'm been alright. Thing I noticed something that I'm concerned about. The wounds are healing up but there's a difference between the entering wound and the exit wound.

The entering wound looks about normal I guess but the exit wound has a white coating over it? I figure it's either puss or the skin reforming over the wound but I don't know. Could it be infected? It's been like that ever since I could remember.

  1. See a doc. or call you him back

  2. Just wondering how you got shot?

  3. Goo = infection ! Go to a doctor !

  4. Is it hot to the touch or red? Is it "oozing"? Do you feel bad or are you feverish? Have you been to a doctor? If yes to the first 3 questions, make sure it's yes to the fourth!

  5. Usually when a wound is healing it will have pink/red tissue that we call granulation tissue. Like the other poster said, assess the area for drainage, warmth to the area surrounding the wound and swelling to the area.No matter you need to get the wound rechecked. You could very well be getting an infection to the wound site. I just don't think that something as serious as this should be treated by people on this web site. A doctor needs to assess the area and place you on the appropriate antibiotics if indicated. I hope all turn out well for you.
