  1. Well, you can probobly buy a cheap one for around 20$ that will suit your needs for playing NES, SNES and Genises roms. But if you wanna play n64 or ps1 in the future you may wanna buy a more expensive one with more buttons.  Also if you have a original SNES gamepad(or want to invest 4 or 5 bucks on one) you can head over to http://www.ztnetstore.com/product_info.p... and buy an usb adaptor there.  This will make it so you can plug your SNES controller into your computer.

  2. There's various USB controllers available, but the Playstation-style controls are usually good for an all-purpose controller.  Can usually find similar controllers in the computer accessories section at a Gamestop store & can vary between $10 & $30 a piece.

Alternatively, you can buy Console-to-USB adapters that allow you to connect console controllers (usually PS2 / XBox & GCN controllers types) directly to your computer.  These also vary between $10 & $30 a piece as well.

Finally, there's RetroZone ( http://www.retrousb.com ) that sells adapters & controllers that have been modified to the USB port as well as USB modding kits.  These vary between $20 & $40 a piece, but their inventory is a bit limited.

    Hope that helps you out!
