I have a bunion and i'm 14?

Question

So last year my big toe started to really hurt.

The doctor told me i have a bunion which is really rare for a girl my age.

They said i will have to get surgery before I am 21.

But its starting to hurt really bad again!

But I was wondering if any body could tell me about it.

About the surgery

How they decide your ready for one

Yesterday, I just went with my mom to see the foot doctor. My mom has has TWO big bunion on the side of her foot and appears to have two extra bones besides them. The doctor advise her not to get surgery done though since they were only minor discomfort for shoes. If it's becoming unbearable/uncomfortable, that's when you know when you want to get surgery done. Good luck!
