I have a business trip to Puerto Vallarta this week. In light of the hurricane (Felix) should i cancel trip.?

I will be leaving out of Mcallen,Texas on Thursady, going to Houston than to Puerto Vallarta. I will be comming back on Sunday. Is the trip still a good idea? Should i cancel and go somewhere else? Any suggestions

Cancun it's like 1000 miles away from PV or more...

Do you realize that P-V is on the west coast and Felix is pounding the east coast?  Mexico is a big place.  You'll be fine.

It's got to go through Honduras and Guatemala before it gets to Mexico.  The mountains will take a lot of power out of it, so if it even gets to PV, it will only be just rain.

I'm vacationing in the Mexica Riviera right now (45 minutes South of Cancun), with Hurricane Felix right below me.  Are we worried here...NOT AT ALL!  The weather is gorgeous right now.  I say keep your plans to PV.

Felix is expected to hit the southern part of Mexico (border with Guatemala/Belize) and then the south of texas........ so no, I don't think it will come even close to PV, so I wouldn't cancel the trip only becuz of this......... the weather sucks at the moment being in most part of the country because of the influence of storm Henriette and then the Felix hurricane coming, but nothing to worry about (it's not like it's going to strike and tear your hotel down)....
