  1. well it depends on what company you have for tv/ internet service. if you have a cable modem and an internet modem then you have more than whatis neccisary.

  2. Dont use the usb, if u have the ethernet cable, ethernet is faster than USB, i recommend not to use the usb cable!

just use the ethernet cable, or if u want slow navigation well, then use the usb at ur own risk!

and the modem recognizes the ethernet more easier =D

Good luck and god bless u!

  3. The port may be bad. Have you tried it on a second computer? If so try updating your usb drivers. Ethernet is way faster though. I would use that if you can. You can pick up an Ethernet card for about $20.

  4. Why do you need the USB port? All you need to do is to connect the coaxial cable to the cable point on one end, and the modem on the other. Then connect your network cable from your computer to the modem.

  5. Um

    try the ethernet port?

  6. type in 192.168.1.1 into your internet browser and see if you can not fin a way to inside the modem os its self

  7. Us Ethernet, it's faster an more reliable.  But if you must use the USB, you will need to load the drivers first.  They should have come with the modem.  It will create a virtual Ethernet adaptor for the USB port.

  8. might have a bad usb cable....I have had plenty of those.
