  1. There isn't anything over the counter you can give. You need to take her to the vet, who can find out what exactly is causing the problem, and prescribe medication(s) for it.

  2. You need to take it to the vet ASAP. It most likely is conjunctivitis (an infection) that requires antibiotic eye drops and pills. If it gets too serious, this could be potentially fatal to a kitten.

If you absolutely cannot get the kitten to the vet, mix one third boric acid with two thirds warm water and rinse the kittens eyes with a washcloth dampened with the mixture, gently wiping from the outer to the inner part of each eye, making sure you use a clean part of the cloth with each wipe.Do this about four times per day, and in between rinse the eyes with plain warm water using the cloth whenever you see mucus build-up.

I am jealous you have a calico kitten! They are hard to find. I settled for a tortoiseshell. Best of luck to you and pamper that baby!

    Update:

    Why the thumbs down?

I have given the best option, and a 'worst case scenario' option?

  3. It sounds like cat flu. Take the kitten to the vet just in case, but if the kitten gets any sicker, take her to the vet as soon as possible
