I couldn't find how to hook it up to a computer.

it's kind of...old...so it may not be able to be hooked up.. :/

  1. You can't hook up this VHS camcorder directly to the computer.  You'll need some new hardware to do this.

    You have options.  First is to get an analog video capture card.  This allows you to hook up any analog video sources and record with your computer.  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/105...

    Second, if you're planning to upgrade your camcorder soon, get a digital camcorder with analog bypass via the firewire.  Recording in digital makes it easier to transfer the footage.  But the camcorder itself acts as a capturing device for analog sources.  You'll need to get a firewire (IEEE, iLink) card on your PC and a firewire cable.  Hook the camcorder to the computer using the firewire.  Hook up the VHS to the input of the camcorder (also the video output for most camcorders).  Turn the camcorder on to VCR mode without the tape, press play on the VHS and you're ready to capture on the computer.
