When I pull up a video from our camcorder in my computer, it doesn't show any files attached to the video I recorded on the dvd-r. But it will play it .. trying to figure out how to save to computer so I can email to family. Very important to me .. has video of my mom who just passed away. This must be so simple, what am I missing?

  1. Consult your manual!! There is a whole section devoted to your answer!! If you don't have one, you should be able to download one from the manufacturers support site.

  2. download the program called DVD ripper, it'll rip whatever you recorded to mpg or avi format and then you can send it

  3. If you have a mini dvd camcorder….

You will have to finalize your dvd in the camera and then put the dvd in your computer 's DVD burner (top loading only) and then you will have to convert the files (i downloaded handbrake file converter free) and import them into your editing program. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.
