Question:

I have a can of wd40 with some left in it but the spray stopped working, is there a way to get it spray again?

or some technique to salvage the contents in it?

  1. try shaking the bottle and holding it upside down when spraying.  The nozzle might be clogged, so you can find another aerosol can with a similar nozzle. you can easily switch them


  2. If by stopped working you mean you push the button down and absolutely nothing happens. No your out of propellant. Unless the nozzle is clogged there are no tricks to make it work again.

  3. Ya, spray the nozzle with WD40. That should do the trick. :)

  4. if it is due to lack of propellant, try dipping the can in hot water to slightly pressurize. then press the button to get the stuff out.  

  5. Clean out the hole with a pin and/or run it under hot water.

  6. This is typical with WD40. Stop buying it, buy the store brands. Maybe WD will take the hint!
