I have a canker sore! I also have braces and i hate brushing my theeth with it. How do I get rid of it quick?

I have 2 of them in my mouth right now!

When I had my braces I got them all the time....I still get them now, but when I had my braces they hurt even more.  I used Colgate Peroxyl Gel.  You can find it at the local pharmacy.  It helped with the irritation, and also helped the sores go away

KankA is a good over the counter remedy. Or you can run up to your dentists office and have them put Debacterol on it. That's what I use (I am a dental hygienist and I get them too). It kinda burns the aphthous lesion (canker sore) and then it feels fine right afterwards, and heals in half the time!

I went through the same thing when I had braces! I had them the entire time! if you take a vitamin C pill everyday and swish with 2oz water 2oz hydrogen peroxide 1tsp salt 1tsp baking soda 4times a day for the length of your cankers. Also the wax is awesome that you can put over the brackets. Oh yeah Peroxyl is a mouthwash you can buy at the store rinse with that as well i used that before I found the recipe above works just fine too!! You may also have allergic reactions to the latex mouth bands if your using those yet ask your dentist.

Use the wax that they gave you to cover the bracket or wire that caused it.

I get canker sores all the time. You have a couple of options. You can do the "old faithful" and swish with salt water several times daily,or you can buy a product made by Orajel.Its a mouthwash that is specifically make for canker sores and I even think it says for braces on it. It tastes lousy, but so does salt water.

You can also but a soft bristle "pen" called a Kanka Pen.  found it at RiteAd pharmacy.Its terrific for taking care of canker sores.

justput listernine on them ( i kno it will hurt) but it kills the bacteria and it goes away like in 48 hours if you do it 2ws

r ur braces new??? if so they may just be doin that because u and ur mouth isnt used to it but u cant get rid of canker sores any quicker i dont think
